Jennifer Thiessen is a performer and multi-disciplinary creative working internationally across the entertainment industry.
She recently made her Broadway debut as the assistant director of Beaches: A New Musical at the Majestic Theatre, having previously served as the assistant choreographer for the show's pre-Broadway tryout.
Jennifer continues her association as movement captain with the global sensation Harry Potter And The Cursed Child, having been an original cast member for both the record-breaking Canadian production and the franchise's acclaimed 1st National Tour, which is currently playing across the United States.
As a choreographer, Jennifer's credits include a sold-out Toronto run of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Aladdin (Madinat Theatre - Dubai), The Marilyn Denis Show (CTV), and numerous corporate industrials for clients including Honda, Scotiabank, WestJet, Reebok, and the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation. She was the assistant choreographer for Cirque du Soleil's Pan Am Games Opening Ceremonies in Toronto.
Highlights from her extensive performance career include the North American Tour of Saturday Night Fever and The CW's Masters of Illusion. Favorite regional credits include Kitty in The Drowsy Chaperone (Drayton Entertainment), Guys and Dolls (The Rev), Rock Of Ages (Fallsview Casino Resort), and West Side Story (Rainbow Stage).
Jennifer is a passionate and dedicated dance educator and an active member of the performing arts community in North America. She serves as Secretary for the Canadian Guild of Stage Directors and Choreographers.
